The end is near for the eight homes still under construction at Stratton Flats. After breaking ground in the summer of 2024, the year and a half process is coming to the finish line! This past month, countertops were installed and finish trim for electricians and plumbers went into the first four homes. Closings for these homes are set for next month. The final four homes are close behind with planned closings and move-ins scheduled in March!
This marks the end of a momentous effort on the part of Habitat for Humanity Vail Valley to double our efforts in our strategic plan from 2021 to 2024. As part of this effort, the construction team broke ground on twice as many stick-built, homes as ever before in 2024. These 16 homes mark a pivotal point for Habitat’s effort to combat the housing crisis in Eagle County. We are excited to see the finish line so close for these remaining 8 houses and the families that will soon call them home! Read the update.
