Volunteer
Come build with us. Volunteers are vital to what we do, who we are and our mission. Hundreds of volunteers help build Habitat homes and help at the Habitat ReStore. No experience is necessary—we’ll show you what to do!
No matter what you do, you are supporting building affordable housing in Eagle County. Thank you for helping families in Eagle County realize their dream of homeownership. Full-day shifts at the construction site begin at 8:30 a.m. and end around 4 p.m., with a lunch break around noon. The jobsite is located at Stratton Flats, 230 Nighthawk Circle in Gypsum.
Construction
There’s a never-ending list of volunteer jobs on the construction site. If you have construction skills, please let us know as we try to assign tasks according to skill level. If you don’t have any construction experience — we can teach you.
ReStore
The proceeds from our Habitat ReStore allow us to build more homes and pay living wages. No retail experience is needed. Volunteers must be at least 14 years old and may need a 21+ chaperone.
Groups
Our jobsite can accommodate groups of 5 to 20 adults and minors 14 and older. Group build days can be scheduled Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. The minimum age is 18 for construction volunteers; 16 and 17 year olds can perform limited, safe construction activities; 14 and 15 year olds can help with non-construction activities, (cleaning, organizing and landscaping). Any youth groups will be required to have an adult chaperone (21+) and may be limited to what work they can complete on-site.

Many first-time volunteers have questions about what it will be like. What if I have no construction experience? And what should I expect during a volunteer day?
Habitat for Humanity Vail Valley is committed to respecting and safeguarding the rights and dignities of all people, and protecting our staff members, volunteers, partners, beneficiaries and community members (especially vulnerable adults and children) from exploitation and abuse.
