September is historically one of Habitat Vail Valley’s busiest months for volunteers! This month alone, we had 8 build days with volunteer groups. Four of these build days were with the Vail Resorts Build Week. Vail Resorts has been a powerful supporter of Habitat Vail Valley for many years and one of the ways they do this is through volunteerism. This year alone, VR brought out over 70 employees that contributed more than 475 hours to our Stratton Flats jobsite.
The team helped us nearly complete landscaping on both Phases 10 and 11. They planted 12 trees, 72 shrubs, and over 10,000 square
feet of sod. They also dug nearly 75 fence post holes and started the construction of our back & privacy fences as well as front gates. The most remarkable part truly was their attitude. It is hard to find a team with so much positivity amongst such hard work! Thank you, Vail Resorts Team!
