Hometown: Green Cove Springs, Florida
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I love to draw, read and build/create new things. When possible, I like to go fishing, but above all else, I am a worker bee, so mostly I am picking up odd jobs in my free time.
What inspires you?
Change. It can be terrifying, but is one of the most magnificent things in this world.
“Be the change you wish to see in the world.”
Why are you in nonprofit work?
The feeling I get when I get home after a long day’s work. Prior to working at Habitat, I would get home and feel disdain for not finishing a task or project, but at Habitat no matter how long, stressful or back breaking a day can get, I know that we helped someone in need and that puts a smile on my face.
What’s something quirky about you?
I love to see people smile, so I’m prone to tell corny jokes. Also, I am terrified of bees. That is not a joke, I’m absolutely, certifiably terrified.
