Magdalena Lopez, along with her husband, are Habitat Vail Valley homeowners. The family moved into the Fox Hollow neighborhood in Edwards in 2008.
Magdalena shares her her love of learning with hundreds of children. In 2009, she started working in Eagle County Schools. Since 2011, she’s been the preschool teacher on YouthPower365’s Magic Bus, a mobile preschool that travels and provides children under five a strong start for school. She also works with a group of moms, helping them learn English. It’s important to her that others have the chance to get ahead.
When Covid was at its worst, she volunteered with the Eagle Valley Family Assistance Fund, helping families receive help to pay their rent, supply food at schools and to families in quarantine.
Magdalena has a preschool director certification and is focused on attaining her Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. She is from Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico and has been in Eagle County since 1995.
