Kelsie McKenna joined Habitat for Humanity Vail Valley summer of 2021 as Project Coordinator, focusing on the construction of more houses for Habitat homeowners. In this role, Kelsie keeps the job site moving along by maintaining the schedule and budget while monitoring on-going projects and planning for upcoming work. In addition, she procures materials and tools, records and tracks construction progress and helps the construction crew with on-site tasks.
Kelsie has lived in the Vail Valley for a couple of years before coming to Habitat. Prior to this role, she spent two years as a structural engineer in New York City, designing airports and museums. Kelsie has a BS in Civil Engineering from Virginia Tech and an M.S. Structural Engineering from Stanford University.
When not using her engineering prowess on the job site, Kelsie loves to take advantage of the area—skiing, hiking, doing yoga and relaxing with a book or jigsaw puzzle.
