What year did you start working for Habitat Vail Valley?
What do you like to do in your spare time?
Anything outdoors – running, hiking, biking, skiing, fly fishing, scuba diving, etc. I also enjoy reading and cooking – indoors and out.
What inspires you?
Nature and the kindness of others.
Why are you in nonprofit work?
I love the sense of community and working with people who share like-minded goals. It is a privilege to meet so many wonderful families and volunteers, each of whom impacts my life. A donation, time volunteered or even the smallest act of kindness make a big difference.
Who is a hero of yours?
In college I had to write a paper comparing my leadership style with some else’s, and who did I pick? Jimmy Carter. Little did I know I would end of working for Habitat for Humanity. Well, Jimmy and my mom.
What’s something quirky about you?
I name all of the fish I catch. Steve was the name of the first fish I ever caught.
