Elyse Howard joined Habitat for Humanity Vail Valley in 2005. With fifteen years of experience in affordable housing, as Director of Development, she oversees the organization’s fundraising, communications and ReStore teams. Elyse has a passion for community outreach and advocacy and is honored to work towards creating affordable homeownership opportunities for low-income Coloradoans.
Elyse participates in many housing committees including the Eagle County Housing Task Force and Habitat for Humanity Colorado’s Board of Directors and Legislative Affairs Committee. She also serves on the West Vail Master Plan Advisory Council,Eagle County Comp Plan Technical Advisory Committee and Eagle County Land Use Technical Advisory Committee. During her tenure with HFHVV, Elyse has raised more than $13 million for work force housing in Eagle County.
Elyse hails from Virginia and holds a B.A. in History from the University of Pennsylvania and a Certificate in Non-Profit Management from Duke University.
Elyse lives in Vail with her husband and two (constantly growing) sons who she is always chasing on skis, on bikes and up mountains.
