Homeownership
The dream of homeownership is something that is achievable. Habitat for Humanity Vail Valley’s mission is to partner with individuals and families in Eagle County to build a place they can call home. Habitat homeowners help build their own homes alongside volunteers and pay an affordable mortgage.
A Habitat home is a stabilizing force for a family. Better, affordable living conditions lead to improved health, stronger childhood development and the ability – and financial flexibility – to make forward-looking choices.
Before making a phone call or sending an e-mail, take a look at some of the frequently asked questions people have about Habitat for Humanity’s homeownership program.
“For my children I like to lead by example. We compete over our GPAs, and they tell me it’s not fair because I am only taking one class. But, I tell them that it is fair because I have a full-time job.”
