Ava Shusterman

Ava Shusterman joined Habitat for Humanity Vail Valley July 2023 as AmeriCorps Construction Crew Leader, where she coordinates volunteers on-site and directs construction work. Ava volunteered at Habitat while in college. She also worked with nonprofits, focusing on tenant assistance and housing security. She loves meeting and working with people in the community. She believes everyone has the right to a safe home and is driven to help bring affordable housing to all. Ava is from Greenville, North Carolina and attended Brandeis University. In the future, she hopes to go back to school for architecture and design affordable and sustainable housing. When not on the jobsite, she explores the outdoors: running, hiking, biking and skiing.
