De-Construction Volunteers
How ‘Green’ are you? Are you passionate about saving our landfills and helping our planet?
Sign up for our DeConstruction Team.
Deconstruction is the process of constructing a home, but in reverse order. Reusable building materials including cabinets, doors, trim, copper, sinks, faucet sets and more are strategically removed from a home undergoing a remodel or facing demolition. Deconstruction allows us to salvage these materials, save them from the landfill and sell them to raise money for Habitat homes.
The Deconstruction Team is ‘on call’ as remodel opportunities generally have only a few days notice. Projects are usually completed within a day or two. Deconstruction Volunteers will be placed on an email list and will be sent an email as deconstruction opportunities arise.
For further questions about the deconstruction process or to sign up for the Deconstruction Team, please email the ReStore Director or call 970.328.1119.
If you are REMODELING in the near future and would like the Habitat ReStore to help you deconstruct, please let us know the details of your project!
