After earning his B.S. degree in Business Administration at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Bret began his career at a regional investment bank in Virginia. He returned to his home state of Colorado in 1993. With over 20 years in the financial services industry, Bret is a Financial Advisor with Edward Jones Investments.
Stuart Green is a 30 year valley resident and an owner of the Aprisent Financial Group, a local wealth management firm. He has an MBA and is also a Certified Financial Planner™. He has served on the Habitat Finance Committee for the last 7 years. In that capacity, he helped develop a planned giving program for the organization. In addition, he is a board member of the Eagle Valley Family Assistance Fund.
After graduating from Stanford University, Amanda started her career in the electronic brokerage world as a Marketing Manager at Charles Schwab and Morgan Stanley as Senior Marketing Manager and led a massive marketing campaign for their online web trading platform. Ultimately, Amanda went back to school and received a Master’s in Real Estate and Construction Management. Fixer-uppers and property management have since become her new career.
Rob Wilson is the Pastor of Eagle River Presbyterian Church where he has served since 2005. Rob was born and raised in Spokane, WA and graduated from Whitworth College with a major in Psychology and a minor in Sociology. After working in the Seattle area with chronically mentally ill adults, Rob felt called to ministry. He attended Louisville Seminary for his Master’s of Divinity degree after which he was ordained as a Presbyterian Minister.
A second generation resident of the Vail Valley, Tim LyBarger serves the local community with more than 25 years of banking experience, namely in real estate finance. Tim earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Adams State College and is a graduate of Pacific Coast Banking School at University of Washington. He tries to live his life based on the formula…faith, family, friends and fun.
Kathy is serving her second term as an Eagle County Commissioner. She's a fourth-generation Coloradan with a love of open spaces, air, water and land quality. Kathy is the county's representative to the Water Quality Quantity Committee, Ruedi Reservoir Water and Power Authority, NWCCOG Economic Development District Board of Directors & Lake Creek Affordable Housing Corporation.
Lisa Dennis grew up in California. She spent much of her childhood in Colorado visiting both sets of grandparents and extended family. Lisa attended California State University Long Beach and moved to Britain in 1982 with her former husband, Ron Dennis. They spent 27 years building the McLaren Formula One Team. Lisa has had a home in the Vail Valley since 1995 and is passionate about helping this community and is eager to help expand the impact of Habitat Vail Valley.
Terry Halverson has lived in the Vail Valley since 1980 and is the former President of FirstBank of Avon and former CEO of Millennium Bank. Since retirement, Terry has served on the boards of several local non-profit organizations.
Terry and his wife Tina have four children and live in Arrowhead. Terry enjoys playing golf, hiking, and biking.
Laureen Hopkins has been a premier Interior Designer in the Vail Valley since 1998. Her creativity, innovation and bold vision have made Laureen successful in both residential and commercial Interior Design work in the Vail Valley and beyond. Laureen has been instrumental in encouraging others to donate their time, resources and furniture to the Habitat ReStore.
Meredith Kennedy is a Southern belle from Athens, Alabama with a passion for college football – ROLL TIDE! She first fell in love with the Vail Valley because of the outdoor adventures, the world class event offerings, and her now-husband of 14 years, Jeff, co-owner of Moe’s Original Bar B Que. Meredith had a 13-year tenure with the Vail Valley Foundation before retiring to be a stay-at-home mom for her two daughters.
Dick retired from AvalonBay Communities (NYSE: AVB) as its Chairman and CEO. Previously he was a Group Managing Partner of Trammell Crow Residential responsible for the Mid-Atlantic, Northeast and Midwest states.
Since retirement, Dick has served on the boards of several HOAs and non-profit organizations.
After graduating from the University of Denver in 1996 with a degree in real estate and construction management, Kevin immediately moved the Vail Valley to begin a career with Beck Building Company. He came up through the ranks at Beck, starting as a project manager and over the next 18 years oversaw the construction of several large homes and remodels. In 2007, he became an owner in the company and president.
Kristin Kenney Williams serves as Vice President of Mountain Community Affairs for Vail Resorts where she oversees government and community relations for its mountain resort communities. Kristin joined the Company in November of 2008 and prior to that, was founder of Commfluent LLC, a Vail Valley-based communications firm specializing in entitlement strategy, campaign planning and community relations.
