Celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2015, Habitat for Humanity Vail Valley has served 54 local families to date, housing and improving the lives of nearly 200 local children. Habitat Vail Valley has built 53 affordable homes and has remodeled 3 homes in Eagle County with the help of dedicated volunteers, donors and partner families.
Habitat for Humanity in the Vail Valley is part of a global, nonprofit housing organization. Habitat is dedicated to eliminating substandard housing locally and worldwide through constructing, rehabilitating and preserving homes; by advocating for fair and just housing policies; and by providing training and access to resources to help families improve their shelter conditions.
Founded in Americus, Georgia, in 1976, Habitat for Humanity today operates around the globe and has helped build, renovate and repair more than 800,000 decent affordable houses sheltering more than 5 million people worldwide.
